Sending Payment & Submitting a Receipt

Cube keeps contributions simple by breaking them into two clear actions: sending the payment and confirming it with a receipt. This keeps everyone aligned and cycles moving without friction.
When a winner is announced
As soon as a winner is selected, any Cubes that require your contribution will appear on your Payments screen. You’ll see:
Which Cube needs a contribution
How many members have already paid
How many days remain before the contribution window closes
If you’re fully caught up, you’ll see an empty state letting you know there’s nothing to do.
Step 1: Send payment
Tap Contribute on the payment card to get started.
You’ll see the winner’s preferred payment method, either Zelle or Venmo, clearly listed so there’s no guesswork. Cube doesn’t route or hold funds. You send the payment directly to the winner using the listed method.
Once you’ve completed the transfer outside the app, return to Cube to confirm it.
Step 2: Submit your receipt
After sending the payment, you’ll be prompted to upload a receipt or proof of payment. This can be a screenshot or confirmation screen from Zelle or Venmo.
Submitting a receipt does two important things:
It creates a visible record that you’ve paid
It allows the winner to quickly confirm your contribution
Once the winner confirms receipt, your contribution is marked as complete for that cycle.
If confirmation is delayed
Payments don’t always show up instantly. If you’ve uploaded a receipt but the winner hasn’t confirmed yet, Cube doesn’t block the Cube or pause future cycles.
Cube will follow up if needed to help resolve the confirmation without disrupting anyone else. Your responsibility is considered fulfilled once proof of payment is submitted.
